Autumn is my favourite time of year, so I love making cards for this time of year. I don't celebrate Thanksgiving, I celebrate Autumn/Fall. Today for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers we had a visit to Osnat Fine Art. I was inspired by this painting, and I was in the mood to play with my Viva Decor Inka Gold paints. Below I show the layering I did with the stencil. To get the turquoise colour I mixed the blue and gold and added a bit of water then sponged it on the card. I added some of the red and more gold, buffing each after applying. I die cut the tree in metallic gold paper and applied on foam dots, then added sequins to finish. I hope you like it and thanks for having a look.
This is the Tim Holtz stencil I used and here I am applying the first layers of inks, the steelblue and then the gold.
My recipe showing the Inka Gold products, the Tim Holtz stencil, Impression Obsession Bare Tree die, the water spritzer, sequins and the metallic paper along with the Bazzill paper, and my finished card.
Oh, Kia, this is absolutely stunning, and what a beautiful inspiration painting! I love the technique and the amazing texture and shine! Exquisite! Wow, you are a master at mixed media. I so admire it but fear taking the leap. Thanks for the inspiration! Hugs!
