Till Death

It is said, there is a first time for everything, and this is a first! I was asked if I could make a wedding card for a Halloween Themed Wedding. Well, no harm in giving it a shot, and this is what I came up with.
I embossed the background using a spider web embossing folder and purple metallic paper. The matting is also done in the metallic papers. I love the sheen of the metallic and it seemed appropriate given it is a wedding card. I die cut the engagement ring twice and turned the second one around in the die to make the wedding band. The spiders are die cut using fun foam, and for a bit more glam I added silver gel pen and Wink of Stella to the spiders ... my new favourite embellishment, not to replace my sequins, but to compliment them.
For the inside I added the sentiment done in a font called "Chiller", and added the web cut in vellum and more spiders, the right side done in the fun foam and the inside cover done in Bazzill cardstock, and all with silver gel pen and more Wink of Stella. This was a bit of a challenge, but I think it turned out perfectly for this couple's Wedding card, and my friend Kelly who asked for the card seemed to agree. I gave her some sheer black and white ribbon to tie around
the envelope once she has addressed the card.
I clearly had a lot of fun once again with Halloween. I hope you enjoy
this card today and thank you for your visit.

  2. It's kind of creepy thinking a couple would want to get married on Halloween, but to each it's own I guess.......the inside sentiment fits the occasion perfectly too. Great job.
