Poinsettia Greetings

For this card I first heat embossed my Poinsettia with gold embossing powder and while stamping I stamped the image on photocopy paper and cut out to make a mask. I then watercoloured the Poinsettia and the background using Winsor Newton Paints. I added the speckles using gold and green and a bit of , and dried before continuing. I placed my panel in my Misti and covered the poinsettia with my mask, then inked my background script stamp in Shabby Shutters for a light script in the background, but it did take a couple of goes to get the colour the way I wanted. I also used my Misti for my Christmas greeting which also took several inkings for good coverage. And finally, I die cut my panel with my stitched rectangles and added a few sequins. This was fun to make, and I made it to finally play along in the CAS Watercolour November Challenge.
