This is my card as part of the design team for Splitcoaststampers' Clean and Simple Challenge. We are to use some kind of Christmas Foliage. I love this Oregon Fir Tree, and I decorate with cuttings from fir trees, so I decided I wanted to use this die. I just wanted a different design from a scene, and this is what I came up with. I die cut the trees using Arches Watercolour Paper and coloured with Zig Brushes in the Olive Green for the tree and Mid Brown for the trunk. For the back tree I painted several layers getting darker as I went, doing the front tree the same, but not quite as dark. I attached the back tree to my embossed card base. I heat embossed my sentiment on the stitched circle, and attached it using dimensionals. I then attached the top tree and added gold sequins to finish.
Thank you for visiting today.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card. I can see using different die cuts for more cards
ReplyDeleteLove your trees on this card, Kia. They are one of my favorite Frantic Stamper tree dies. Your card is gorgeous with the white embossed area and gold.
