These leaves are not cream, as in colour, but they
are creamy!
This technique has been on my never ending list of techniques to try. I bought the shaving cream and put it away, and promptly forgot about it until yesterday.
The Shaving Cream Stencil technique as done by Lydia Fiedler for Splitcoaststampers states to use water based inks. Alas, I used alcohol inks and it worked out fine. 😅
I used Sunset Orange, Citrus and Sailboat Blue inkers, and used a toothpick to drag the ink through the shaving cream. There was a lot of mixture, so I made a couple backgrounds, and next time I will be sure to have other stencils at the ready.
I let it dry and burnished it with paper towel, then added foam strips to the back and the twine and attached to my card base. The sentiment is die cut in black cardstock and attached with multi medium matte glue. I love it just the way it is, so this is my card to share with you today.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
