Shake it up! I cannot remember the last time I made a shaker card so when I was asked for a birthday card I thought, why not make a shaker. I had forgotten how fun they are to make.
I used a new stencil of balloons for my background, sponging on colour from the bottom upwards using Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass. I then die cut and attached to my card base. I then did the shaker portion, using the same die set to make the frame which hides the foam tape and has the acetate attached to it as well. Before attaching the shaker frame I poured in a handful of sequins. I then die cut a balloon from vellum, adding in some of the blue ink to it, and attached that to the frame. I added a few sequins to it, along with the twine. I then die cut the happy birthday from blue cardstock and attached it to the shaker front using glossy accents. I quite like this one ... and it was fun too!😊
