On to the cards I made for this hop. My first card is my favourite. The colours and yes, the sparkle speak to me.
Starting with my background, inside my Misti, and using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks in Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Worn Lipstick I began sponging, adding the colours as I went around my paper. I sponged on the first colour, the wild honey in the top right, moving next to the spiced marmalade on the left. Once finished with the marmalade I went back over the blending with the wild honey again, which I find helps to blend the inks beautifully. I added in the worn lipstick bottom right, blending over with the marmalade.
I then pushed my spritzer bottle to get water up the hose, removed the top and shook the hose part to release the water.
Next up using VersaMark embossing ink, I stamped my image, and heat embossed using
I really love the look. The colour of the sentiment looks deeper here as it is just stamped, it fades and changes colour once dry ... gotta love that! To keep with the style of the card I stamped the sentiment using Picked Raspberry Oxide ink, using the Memories sentiment from the
Express Yourself stamp set. I added several layers of ink and heat set when finished.
As I did not have any cardstock that I could use for matting, I made a piece using the wild honey and spiced marmalade inks.
To finish, I die cut my panel and attached it to the matted piece, then attached to a pale pink cardstock.

While I had the stamp set out I thought I would make a second card.
In my Misti and on black cardstock I stamped the little butterflies using the cracked pistachio oxide ink. I then coloured the butterflies with Wink of Stella to add some shimmer. On heat resistant acetate, I then stamped the butterfly using white pigment ink and heat embossed using Nuvo Glitter Embossing Powder. It is hard to see in the picture, but it is very pretty. I die cut the acetate and adhered with matte glue, then added sequins to cover those ink dots.

And, my third card for today. For this card I used the beautiful image called Born to Perform
The background is done using Distress Oxide Inks. I used a Q-tip to make the spotlight circles, and stamped using Ranger archival ink in Manganese Blue. I have done a video on this card, which you can find below the card.

I hope you have enjoyed these cards today. Now on to the rest of the hop.
You should have arrived here from Sharon Traynor's blog, and up next is Becca Cruger.
