This is one bright and happy flower today, which is why I called this card "Smiling Flower".
This card started with the die cut wonky panel which I stamped with images from the stamp set by Altenew called Persian Motif, using Altenew Ink in Bamboo.
I attached that panel to a pale green matting and attached to my card base.
For the flower, I painted the image using my watercolour paints. i.e. using my brush, I painted the stamp with the colour and stamped on the watercolour paper. I mixed my paint with just a bit of water, so I had strong colours to do this. The technique is like the no-line colouring technique. Once dry, I continued to add colour, this time using more water and adding deeper colour in some areas. While I was waiting for the final colour to dry I die cut the frame and attached it using foam tape. I then fussy cut the image, styled it a bit, and attached using foam dots, finishing off my card with a few sequins.
I hope you enjoy this card and thank you for having a look.
This card really drew me in. Love the image but, it is the composition that is so smart. My mind does't work like that. So, I will save it for reference. Thanks for posting!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous no-line colouring with the beautiful shading of the flowers, Kia! I love that you stamped the echoed images on the background. Perfect framing too. Hideko xx
