I have been wanting to use this new stamp set from Altenew ever since I received it a couple of weeks ago. Other cards got in the way ... lol!
The stencil is from Concord & 9th and goes with paper that they print up, which I will link below, but I wanted a white background so I used Neenah cardstock and stenciled using Altenew Inks in the lightest two colours from each of the sets listed below.
Once I finished my background I decided on what frame I wanted to use from the Framed Stamp Set. I really wanted it to hang off the side of the card, but the sentiment would also fall off, and we can't have that! I stamped the frame using Altenew ink in Tide Blue, then stamped using Versamark ink and heat embossed with the Nuvo Glitter Clear Embossing Powder, which I love. On the inside portion of the frame I used the glitter marker in the blue to colour it in. I die cut the panel using my stitched rectangle die and attached to my card base using fun foam. For a little whimsy I stamped the butterfly and die cut the little butterfly using Ranger Bright Tangelo to stamp and Spiced Marmalade Distress ink to paint. I also added a bit of Wink of Stella for some sparkle, and finished up my card with a few sequins.
I hope you have enjoyed this card and would like to thank you for visiting my blog today.
What a pretty crafty friend card, Kia! Add the sparkly frame to the sentiment is a brilliant idea! Tide Blue was a great color choice, too. Hideko xx
