Mother's Day

I have been looking at this stamp for a week, as it waited in the pile of things "to get to". I thought it would be very pretty in the pink/corals, but I did want white embossing with it too, but just on the flower petals. So, on Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper I first painted the green parts using Zig brushes, then went over the green with my Versamark pen and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I then went over the flowers with my pen and heat embossed with white embossing powder, then proceeded to paint using just one colour, Light Carmine, doing several layers.
I wanted the paper to be tone on tone, so I die cut the panels with the deckled die, and sponged on pigment ink in white to the die cut edge of the carmine cardstock, then attached the panel using foam tape.
For my sentiment I stamped using jet black ink on vellum and die cut with a label die, then attached with vellum tape, and added a few sequins to finish my card.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.
