Peaceful Place

I love this set of Savannah Trees from Frantic Stamper. They truly are magnificent trees.

I wanted to die cut the trees in a solid colour, opting for this metallic navy blue. Even with the solid dark colour one can still see the details of the die. 

To keep the whimsy of the trees, I used two different stencils for my background, the top called Cracked Paint, and the bottom stencil called Tropical Leaves. The technique I used for the stencils is called Stencil Monoprint, and can be found under my Awesome Tutorials section. I used water colours to do my card. Almost any ink will work with this technique. My top panel is attached using fun foam for dimension, and I inked the edges with distress blueprint sketch. I did not add a sentiment to my card. When I decide what I will use it for I can always add the sentiment.
