This is "You're my kind of Wonderful", my card to share with you today.
I first did my background panel on distress watercolour paper using my Nesting Hexagon stencil and Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick, sponging on the colour, then with my paint brush and water I went over the lines of ink to giving the appearance of a watercoloured piece, then once dry I die cut the panel.
For my flower I went for a bit of a change with the blue/green leaves, but first in my Mini Misti I stamped the flower using Ranger Archival Ink in Cobalt Blue, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder, before painting using Zig brushes in Turquoise Green and Carmine Red in several layers. Once I finished the watercolour, I added Wink of Stella to parts of the leaves and flowers.
I placed my background panel back in my Misti and stamped my sentiment using the Cobalt Blue ink. I then attached my background panel on fun foam, then attached it to my card base. I styled the flower which I also attached using foam squares.
And, yes ... I finished up with a few sequins.
I hope you have enjoyed today's card and thank you for visiting my blog.
Oh, Kia, you're so wonderful! I absolutely love this card and love the beautiful background! What a creative way to make one, and I always love this sweet blossom. Stunning watercoloring, my friend! And your sprinkled sequins are always loved! Hugs and love! xoxo
ReplyDeleteso pretty Kia, it gives us hope that Spring will soon be here because I am personally not a fan of winter.
