I would first like to ask Linda Hott to contact me via the "Contact Me" form on my sidebar with your address so I can mail you A Tweet Hello.
Happy Friday everyone, and a happy start to June. June is my birth month, so I think I should share with you cards that make me happy.
I am starting with Penny Black, as her stamps make me happy. This stamp is Trumpet Song, and today I heat embossed instead of colouring or painting. I first started by sponging on distress oxide inks, from top to bottom in Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Broken China and Salty Ocean. I admit, I love the Salty Ocean, so it had to be in the colours I used today. Once finished and dried I stamped the image using Versamark Embossing Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then stamped the sentiment using Ranger Archival Jet Black ink. I flicked on droplets of water, drying with paper towel, then added some flicks of white acrylic paint. I considered black, but wanted to keep the card on the lighter side. I added the panel to my card base using foam tape, and to finish added a few sequins.
It very much like the look of the embossing. It makes for a nice change with this stamp.
Thank you for visiting today.
Beautiful sponged background for your heat embossed PB image, Kia. I am surprised you were able to get such complete and detailed coverage with the heat embossed technique. TFS Hugs..
