Girly Girl Birthday

I did this card for a friend who wanted a birthday card for a little girl who is turning 5. I know the little girl and she is such a sweetie, always smiling, so this card was easy to make. Mia is a Girlie Girl, so this kind of card I knew she would love.
The card is 6x6. I used Bazzill in a pale pink for my base, and a lavender for matting, along with designer paper from ModaScrap called Fly and Scrap.

After picking out the papers I die cut the Tangram Mosaic from Ranger Distress watercolour paper. I added some of the Color Burst Fuchsia to my work space and spritzed with a small amount of water, then dragged the pieces of the mosaic through, drying between layers. I wanted to be sure it was a good layer of the pink, Mia's favourite colour. I die cut the leaves and the flowers are from an older Memory Box die called Fancy Blossoms, which I don't think is available any longer. Any smaller size flower die would work, or even punched flowers. I then cut the balloons from the felt and the number 5 from both white and lavender cardstock.
Placement of the items fell in easily, once the cat was in place. The flowers are on graduating height of foam dots with everything else being glued in place.
I hope this card has you smiling as it did me. Mia was overjoyed I am told. So a successful card.
Thanks so much for visiting today.
