It's a Brew-tiful Day for coffee! Which is exactly what I am doing as I write up this post.
The inspiration challenge at Splitcoaststampers took us to a site called Lang By Calendars. They have rearranged their site since it was picked for the challenge, and not for the better, otherwise I would link you to it. For my card I picked this picture:
For my background design I used a stencil for my along with distress oxide inks, first sponging on Broken China, then building from there. I used post it notes to block off where I did not want ink and also used small eye makeup sponges to make the task easier. Once I completed the sponging, I went back with my white pen as well as my micron black pen, adding highlights to the flowers. I die cut the panel using the dotted rectangle die, then stamped the mug in jet black ink, powdered and heat embossed using black embossing powder. I die cut the hugs die 3 times, sponged with the picked raspberry and attached with foam squares. To finish I added ebony black Nuvo Jewel drops.
Thanks so much for dropping by my blog today.
