Watercolour Meadow

I found so much inspiration when I visited the site picked for today's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. I fell for this piece, even though it is lighter than what I would actually want. So, I did my piece using a bit more saturation of colour. 😊
I started with my background using Oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Broken China, Lucky Clover and Cracked Pistachio, drying between each layer. Once I was happy with the background I stenciled the circles using my Bubbles Stencil and White Pigment Ink. I then went on to stamp the stems using a stamp from Penny Black Illuminations Stamp Set, colouring the stem with Gathering Twigs Distress Marker. I added more to the stems once I finished the stamping, using the pen tip of the marker. For the flowers I used white acrylic paint and a #6 paintbrush. I added the painted leaves using a #8 brush. I then highlighted the stems and leaves with the white acrylic paint, and added the lines at the top with my Distress marker Frayed Burlap. Once everything was finished and dry, I die cut the panel with the stitched rectangle die.
Phew ... lol! That was a process, but I am happy with the end results, and wish to thank you for visiting my blog today.

It's stunning and a perfect for the inspiration piece you chose! WOW, are you talented! Hugs and love, sweet friend! xoxo

The process you went through creating this magnificent piece of artwork is commendable. The art is worthy of making a print of it. Outstanding work, my friend! Love the card!
