Well, I am sad to say this is my last post on behalf of Your Next Stamp. I certainly have enjoyed the month playing along with their latest release along with some oldies but goodies, which includes the sweet image I used for this card, called Sandy Squireel Autumn Greetings.
This card was done following a challenge of either a sketch layout or colour choices. I decided to go with the colours, ones I love from this picture.
I used a stencil to do my background along with one of my favorite techniques called Shaving Cream Stenciling, which is located under my Awesome Tutorials Page. I used all the colours that are in the picture, and threw in some turquoise. I then stamped my image using Ranger Sepia ink and watercoloured the squirrel with my personal set of watercolours. I die cut the panel with my deckled oval die, sponged the edges in Tim Holtz Distress Inks Ripe Persimmon and attached it to the base using foam tape. I stamped the sentiment using Ranger Plum ink and added a few gumdrops to finish.
Isn't he just too cute.
Thank you for joining me today.
