Poppy Hello

I so enjoyed making this card this morning using a new to me technique called Coffee Filter Prints. I certainly will do this again.

I used Ken Oliver's Color Burst in Fuchsia and Lemon Yellow for my background. This is my second print, the colour's on the first print are more vibrant ... beautiful. Once dry I die cut the panel with Sizzix Dotted Rectangle die set.
I then die cut the poppy flowers from Ranger Distress water colour paper and lightly painted with Daniel Smith water colour in Lemon Yellow.
For my sentiment I decided to stamp with my mini Altenew Hello stamp. Being as the background is a glossy type paper, I patted the area to be stamped with my powder tool, then stamped with Ranger Archival Jet Black, then blew off the remaining powder. I then added fun foam to the back of the card panel and attached to my base card. I added a regular size pop dot to the bigger poppy and a thin pop dot to the smaller flower and finished with a few April Crystals from Studio Katia.
A close up shows the dimensions on the card. I hope you have enjoyed this card and would like to thank you for visiting today.

  1. Gorgeous Coffee Filter Prints background, Kia! Love the colors and the visual texture. The partially colored poppy die-cut is so pretty, and the sentiment stamping is so crisp! Hideko xx
