Warm Wishes

This is a sample card I made for our Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoaststampers about our changing weather. I picked Autumn for my card, as this is my favourite time of the year. I love the colours of Autumn, and yes, the cooler weather.

I started my panel by die cutting with my wonky rectangle die, as there is nothing worse than doing it after I have the ink on my panel. I then proceeded to use distress oxide inks for my background, using fossilized amber, bundled sage, spiced marmalade, ripe persimmon and candied apple.
Once I was happy with my sponging, I sprinkled my panel with water droplets. I then stamped the trees using Ranger Archival inks in coffee and sepia.

To finish I attached my panel to a dark brown card base, then stamped my sentiment using Ranger Archival vermillion ink.

  1. Gorgeous Warm Autumn sponged colors, Kia for your beautiful card. I love how you did just a minimal bit of stamping with your trees so your beautiful background did not get covered up. TFS Hugs...
