I participated today in the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers, and was delighted to see we were headed to a Canadian Etsy site called QiQi Gallery, which is full of beautiful art and loads of inspiration.
I was inspired by this piece of art, and as I had acrylic paints I decided I would use them for my background.
I first applied gesso to my card stock to give the paint something to hold on to, then used a small palette knife to add my colour, adding greens, turquoise, yellows and dark blue. I would have loved to do bubbles, but do not have the products needed for that process. In any event, I enjoyed this change of pace.
Once my background was dry, I die cut the piece using Penny Black's Antique Frame die, then flicked on some gold paint and attached it to my card base. I then drizzled the gold paint on the panel. I did it this way only because I did not want to wait for it to dry before taking my pics. 😉
I then stamped the circle sentiment and heat embossed with gold embossing powder, then die cut with the coordinating circle die.
I hope you have enjoyed this card today, and wish to thank you for visting my blog.
