I think this image from So Suzy Stamps is just too adorable, and very befitting for my Veterinarian. As most of you know, I have a bird named Cinnie C, CC for short, whose picture is on my sidebar. I regularly take her to my Vet to have her wings clipped and a check up. There is nothing cuter than a stethoscope on a birds chest. And, of course I take this opportunity to send a card to the Veterinarian, which is what this card is.
I am new to Copic colouring, and only have a few of them. They are not my passion, watercolour is, but I would like to learn to use them properly, and practise makes perfect.
I coloured the bird using Copics, making the colour on her head deeper as I figured all her blood was rushing there. 😉
I did the stencil work using distress inks in spiced marmalade, using a lighter hand as I went towards the edges.
The sentiment is stamped in black ink and the panel is attached to the matted card base using fun foam. To finish I added a few gumdrops.
