I had such fun planning and making this card. I love doing Oxide ink backgrounds, and I also love critters, and, there is nothing better than Christmas cards.
I recently received this new to me die to make this slider card. It definitely makes the process much easier than doing it manually, which is great.
I decided on a long narrow card, being 3.75x8.75.
I started on the background panel first, sponging on the distress oxide colours, masking off the bottom area which will represent snow. I then die cut the panels and did the backgrounds on the three of them. For the splatter I used white gold paint.
Moving on to the critters, in my Original MISTI I stamped all the images, including a few extras and cut the images, then coloured with copics. I added some of the twisted citrus to the bottom of the reindeer's and Santa and arranged and attached the images, some with foam squares.
Before attaching the top panel I stamped the sentiment using Manganese Blue ink. I added the tags to the pull outs, which I had sponged with the colours, and to protect them and the person pulling them I applied a protective fixative.
I hope you have enjoyed this card, and thank you for visiting today.
Kia, what an AMAZING card! I've seen a lot of slider cards, but this is "the bomb!" I love you amazing sky and the darling animals (you've colored them to perfection), and what a clever way to have it slide out for the even sweeter scene! Totally fabulous, sweet friend! Hugs and love! xoxo
