My friend Lydia was hosting the Mix-ability Challenge at Splitcoaststampers on Friday called Put a Bird On It! I said I would play along, however I did not get my card done until this morning, but I did get it done and even added the Inspiration Challenge to my card covering today's challenge.
I have done a very whimsical freehand card using watercolours in almost every colour under the sun, just changing the shapes and stems. And for a change, I painted on canvas textured acrylic paper. It is very easy to work on, and gives a totally different look to the project. I thought it perfect for this kind of card.
My bird is perched on the top of one of the flowers, he's a chubby little one. Once finished with my painting, I splattered with acrylic paint and watercolour paint then attached it to a black card base.
I hope you have enjoyed this card and wish to thank you for visiting today.
I love this artsy card filled with so many gorgeous colors, Kia!
ReplyDeleteFantastic arrangement of the colors and shapes. Adding the perched bird is a great idea - it gives liveliness to the card.
