I absolutely love this little guinea pig from Impression Obsession latest release. It is one of those stamps that I just had to have. Does she not make you smile?
I stamped her on Fabriano Hot Press water colour paper using Ranger Archival Ink in Cocoa, then went back in and inked the eyes with Ranger's Archival Jet Black.
I then proceeded to water colour using paints from my water colour palette. I thought Daniel Smith's Quinacridone Gold was a perfect beginning. I also added in some Schmincke Venetian Red and a bit of Burnt Umber. For the Fascinator, I used Daniel Smith Quinacridone Pink for the flowers, along with Schmincke Cobalt Turquoise and Schmincke May Green. For the bit of pink on the face I used a watered down Opera Pink.
For my background I used Ranger Distress water colour paper which I die cut with my Wonky Rectangle die. I wanted to use embossing paste for my background, but I wanted a bit of colour in it. So I added colour to the stencil, and when I applied the paste the colour moved along with it to the stencilled area on the card, and it dried along with the paste. Once it was dry I splattered some of the May Green and Cobalt Turquoise.
I attached a piece of designer paper in the green and white to my card base, then attached the panel using fun foam and scor tape. I stamped the sentiment using Ranger Archival Ink in Sepia and used foam tape to attach it. I fussy cut the Guinea Pig and attached using foam squares.
I hope you have enjoyed this card today, and thank you for visiting. I have used Affiliate links below at no cost to you.
