Floral Note

I did this card today for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com, where we had a visit to The Spruce. I have fallen in love with this site, and found many things that inspired me. But, today I really wanted to do some watercolouring and I wanted to do some flowers, so when I came upon this Mother's day card I stopped looking.
I printed a black and white photo of the flowers and traced the lines where the ink was, to give me a place to start with my watercolour.
I started with the leaves, beginning with Indian Yellow, then moving on to the greens, and finally the blue. I then moved on to the pink and used only the one colour, being Quinacridone Pink. I mixed watercolour that was very light, then mixed a batch that was dark.
For some I painted wet in wet and others dry on damp. I tried to keep my watercolouring very loose, which is my favourite style. Once I finished the watercolouring and it was dry, I went over my pencil lines with Micron Pens in 01 and 05.
I then placed the panel in my Misti and stamped the sentiment using Ranger Jet Black ink, then stamped again with Versamark and heat embossed the sentiment with clear embossing powder. I then finished my card with black acrylic paint splatter and matted with pink, and used a green card base, for a bit of a change.
I hope you have enjoyed this card today, and thank you for visiting. I have include below affiliate links to the products I used at no cost to you.
