This is my sample card for the Clean and Simple challenge at Splitcoaststampers this week, called Three in a Row.
I used one of the flowers from Altenew's Peony Bouquet Set and painted it 3 different ways, going from lightest to darkest in tones.
I first stamped the flowers on Ranger's Distress Watercolor card stock, then die cut them out. I then cut a piece of the same cardstock at 2 1/8th inches and die cut a portion of the flower die from the paper. To have the die in the same place I made marks on my die, and then was careful not to touch that area as it would come off.
To paint the flowers I used several different water colour paints, using Cadmium Yellow, Red/Orange Shade and Chrome Orange, and the leaves and stems I painted with Leaf Green.
I attached the panel to some fun foam to give dimension to the flowers, then went up the side of the water colour paper with some of the Red/Orange water colour. To finish I placed the card in my Mini MISTI and stamped the sentiment from Penny Black using Ranger Archival Ink.
I hope you have enjoyed my card today, and wish to thank you for visiting my blog.
