Iris

I have done this card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers today, where we had a visit to the V&A Museum in the UK. V&A stands for Victoria & Albert.
It is so interesting, with a lot of inspiration.

I was inspired by this print called Iris Kaempfen, which I think is stunning.
I stamped the flowers in the yellow, masking off the stems, then masking off the flowers stamped the stems and leaf in the green. I then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I painted the flowers with Kuretake White Gold, adding in a bit of Cadmium Yellow Light. I then painted the stems and the leaf using Sap Green.
I did the background last, mixing together Sepia, Burnt Umber and Cadmium Red Med. Hue. I did 3 layers and was running out of daylight, as it should have had 4 layers. To finish I matted in the bright yellow and attached to a white card base.
Thank you for joining me today, and I hope you have enjoyed this card. Following are links to the products I used on this card.
