Chirping Great

I made this card to celebrate my new blog going on-line. As most everyone knows, I am a bird lover, having a pet cockatiel and I am addicted to card-making and anything and all related to it.

My home page is a clear indication of my love of birds and that little chick is pink with white feathers. It just doesn't get much cuter than that.

For this card I used Picket Fences Pretty Birds. I love this stamp set, I think it was made for me ... lol. I water coloured with my Nuvo Aqua Flow Pen in the appropriate colour called Flamingo. I put a layer of a very light pink over the wing feathers, then painted with Dr. Ph Martin's Bleed Proof White ink.

I then stenciled the background using the spun sugar distress oxide ink, along with A Colorful Life Design stencil called Leaf Lattice, and my Life Changing Brushes, putting on a thin layer. To finish I stamped my sentiment using Versafine Clair in Nocturne.

I am happy about my new blog and happy with this card.
