I had a bit of fun making this card yesterday for my post today. Rarely do I do "people" stamping, but this stamp intrigued me, and who doesn't like butterflies?
When cutting the piece of watercolour paper I picked a piece with a rough edge and kept that edge in my design. I stamped the image on Fabriano 140lb hot press watercolour paper using Ranger Archival ink in Jet Back. I then painted using Zig Clean Color Brushes direct to paper. Once finished I went over the butterflies with Wink of Stella.
I then stenciled the card base using A Colorful Life Designs stencil, added the watercolour panel under the stencil and continued stencilling using Wendy Vecchi Poppy ink. When completed with the stencil work I attached the watercolour panel to my card base using fun foam and scor-pal tape, stamped the sentiment in my mini Misti and added a few gumdrops to finish my design.
