I mentioned in my post yesterday that I would be sharing more posts of how I am using the Shaving Cream Technique backgrounds that I made last month.
This is another of the backgrounds I made using this technique. You can see the details for this background here.
For today's card I die cut the background panel using my Stitched Rectangle die and affixed it to a mid blue card base.
In my mini Misti I then stamped the image from Concord & 9th using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne and proceeded to watercolour using my Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens in Indigo Batik and Mango Mimosa from the Surprise Party set, and Rustic Oak from the Autumn Woodland Set along with a bit of the Obsidian Black from the Winter Skies Set.
I then stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Warm Breeze. Then I ran the bird image through my Scan'n Cut, as this set does not have a coordinating die.
I propped the bird up on foam squares and added a few gum drops to finish.
Speaking of birds, my pet bird CC surprised me this morning with an egg. She doesn't have a mate, so it is not a viable egg, but she is still very protective over it. I almost feel sorry for her, but babies .... no thanks. The white in the basket mid bottom area is the egg. ** Edit - here is a replacement picture of the final total she had!
