When I sat down at my desk this morning I was thinking I wanted to do something very different and I very much wanted to use my beautiful Layered Leaves die.
I looked up the challenges over at Splitcoaststampers today and the Free For All happened to be With All My Heart.
So I got out my favourite Heart Die from Memory Box and decided to incorporate it into my card.
I am using Gina K Design Ivory Heavy cardstock for my base and die cuts.
1. Die cut the heart and the layered leaves and the hugs from the Ivory cardstock.
2. Painted the centre of the Heart with Gold paint.
3. Added Stickles to Layered Leaf Die with the paint brush, which made it easy to wipe the Stickles on to the die edges, then set it aside to dry.
4. I attached the Layered Leaves die to the card, then decided where the heart should be. I applied Nuvo adhesive to the back of the Heart and slid it into place.
5. I die cut another Hugs piece in Metallic Gold cardstock, and layered the two dies cuts together attaching with the Nuvo adhesive. I cut a small piece of the Ivory cardstock to act as a shim under the right side of the Hugs die to keep the die in position.
6. To finish I added Gold splatters, along with a few sequins.
