Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians.
It is a day to celebrate, which is what we are doing over at Scrap'n Stamp with a Blog Hop.
We have a Lovely Prize Pack to give away for those who leave comments on the Design Team Blogs. We also will be giving away Prize Packs for comments from Instagram and Facebook, so be sure to join in.
For my card today I decided to do some stamp colouring using my Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens in reds and deep yellows using Arches Cold Press watercolour paper. In my mini Misti I arranged the stamp to stamp the outer leaves first. o leave the space for the centre leaf I stamped the leaf on a post it note and cut it out, so it could be stuck in place when stamping the outer leaves.
I coloured the stamp with the Aqua Pen and stamped to paper. There was no need for extra water as the pens are mixed. Once I finished with the outer leaves I removed the post it note and stamped the centre leaf, which is where I added a layer of Mango Mimosa, a rich yellow colour.
I then added the narrow strips of glitter cardstock to define the sentiment area, and stamped with the Eh! from the Photo Play stamp set using Rangers Vermillion Ink. Even though the leaves are serious, the Eh! sentiment adds some fun to a fun holiday for Canadians.
I attached my Arches paper panel to Gina K Design cardstock in Cherry Red, then added Nuvo Crystal Drops in Autumn Red.
Next up on the hop is Deborah. Following is the list of all those participating in the hop today.
