When it gets terribly hot I begin to think of Autumn, actually I begin to wish it on. Unlike most, I am not one for high temperatures, as it normally brings high humidity.
So today that is where I went with this card. I am using a new to me stamp set from Picket Fence Studios.
I am using Arches 140lb Cold Press watercolour paper and Daniel Smith Watercolours for this card.
First I did a light blue wash across the watercolour panel. I then positioned the bottom stamp in my Misti and coloured the stamp with my watercolours. The trick here is to use more pigment than water.
I then followed by arranging my tree in my Misti and painting the same way. I used my damp empty aqua brush to do the trunks and branches.
I removed the first tree and added in the second, following the same technique used.
Once all was painted I trimmed the panel to 4 x 5.25, then added a black matting, followed by a yellow card base.
To finish I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Pinecone.
I hope you have enjoyed today's card and wish to thank you for visiting my blog.
