Scrap'n Stamp is also celebrating World Cardmaking Day with a great sale. Come and join the fun this weekend.
I had a lot of fun making my card for today's hop using Distress Inks along with Copics, stencils and a wonderful die.
I first did the stencil sponging working on my Stay-tion and using my Life Changing Brushes. The colours are Distress Inks in Twisted Citron and Ripe Persimmon for the bottom stencilling along with Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Candied Apple for the top stencilling.
When doing the bottom stencil I taped off the area of the flower when using the Twisted Citron and did the same when using the Ripe Persimmon.
Once I completed the stencil work I attached the piece to my Kraft cardbase.
I then die cut the Dragon Fly, cutting the outline from vellum and the top piece from Hammermill cardstock. I then coloured with Copic colours in YR09, Yr18, YR24 and E99. I attached the Vellum die cut using a foam square, then glued on the detail die.
In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment from Taylored Expressions using VersaFine Clair Ink in Pinecone.
I then applied Shimmer Glitter to the Dragon Fly along with some Nuvo Gloss Drops in yellow, orange and red.
This picture shows the vellum underlay, and the following close up picture shows the glitter on the Dragon Fly.
I hope you have enjoyed this card and wish to thank you for your visit. Next up on the hop is our Guest Karen.
