Here is a card that I had a lot of fun with, but not much fun trying to photograph. We have had gloomy days in my neck of the woods, which doesn't do anything to help picture taking.
I saw a card on Pinterest that had snow at the bottom, as I have done above, but they had glitter sprinkled over it. I opted out of the glitter, but the snow is perfect for this kind of card.
I first made my card base using Gina K Design White heavy card and Kraft card. For the snow I used Glacier Paste, applying it with my palette knife doing a scoop with the knife to give the ridges in the snow.
I cut the Ho, using gold glitter card, from an older die by My Favorite Things called appropriately "Ho Ho Ho" and dunked its feet in the paste before attaching using foam squares to my card.
(They no long manufacture the die, but Scrap'n Stamp has some in the store, and you may find it elsewhere. Any alphabet die sets would also work for this.)
I die cut the hat from red glitter card, and the fur from white glitter card and put them together using Nuvo adhesive. But first I did the splatters using Dr. Ph Martin's Bleed Proof White watercolour, as I did not want the splatter on the hat. I then attached the Santa hat over the H using foam squares.
I let the card sit overnight so everything would be good and dry, especially the snow.
In the morning using my mini Misti I stamped the ho ho ho sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Tulip Red and added the white gems around the card to finish.
I hope you have enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it and I wish to thank you for your visit.
