Now, lets move on to the cards I made for today. The first, which you saw above.

This is At My Door #E21362 along with sentiment See Your Face #D21362.

The background, using Bristol Smooth paper, is done using Distress Ink in Barn Door put down on my work surface and spritzed lightly with water, then tapping the cardstock in the puddle. Once dry I attached the piece to my black card base.

For the stamp At My Door I used Arches Watercolour paper and Daniel Smith watercolours in Jane's Grey and Pyrrol Scarlet on the door, Pyrrol Scarlet on her top, Burnt Sienna in her hair. For her skin I used Buff Titanium along with Quinacridone Rose on her cheeks. I fussy cut her out and attached to my card using foam tape.

To finish I added a few gum drops.

Up next is Wake Up.

This is Palette and Paint #J13956 along with sentiment Wake Up Create #C13961.

I stamped the images on Arches Watercolour paper using VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne. For the palette I added a squeeze of the watercolour paints from my tubes to make the mound, then using my brush which was damp, I pulled the colour out into the squares.

I used bright colours that are in my personal palette for this palette. Daniel Smith Hooker's Green, Olive Green, Sap Green, Ultramarine Blue, Mayan Blue Genuine. The purple is one of two strays from Daniel Smith in this palette and my own palette as well.

There are some colours that I love which are made by Winsor Newton, and I find Daniel Smith does not have these exact colours. One of these is the Winsor Violet also known as Violet Dioxazine. That is the purple on the palette above.

Then I have two red shades, top is Deep Scarlet then Pyrrol Scarlet. Moving on to the orange colour, this is the other Winsor Newton colour that I just love and keep which is Winsor Newton Orange/Red Shade, followed by Hansa Yellow. I painted out with this colour, along with Hansa Yellow and Pyrrol Scarlet.

On the brush handle I painted with Indian Red and some gold paint.

Next up on the hop is Laura.
