I cannot help but laugh every time I look at this stamp set. It is just too cute for words, and colouring her was just as much fun!
I started by first doing the bottom panel using a stencil and expanding mousse. I dried the expanding mousse straight away with my heat gun, which causes the mousse to expand and adds a ton of texture to the piece.
I then sponged on some Vintage Photo distress oxide, along with some Black soot oxide across the top, then splattered with water. The piece was 4 x 5.25 and I cut it to use part on the front of my card and the rest inside.
I opted for Copic colours, stamping in my mini Misti using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Hammermill card. The colours are E35, E23 and E11, applying the darkest colour first, then working down to the lightest colour.
I used E11 and R02 on the nose, tongue and pads of her feet. For some shading I used W2 then E40 around the feet and lower part of the fur.
Before I stamped the dogs I had die cut the cardstock using my Impression Obsession Die called Cute Scalloped Rectangles.
The colouring got the Corgis done, but I still had the dishes and biscuits. I decided to use the R02 and E23 for these, then fussy cut them out and glued everything in place with Nuvo adhesive to the die cut panel piece.
I die cut another one of the rectangle scalloped dies in the pale pink and applied it to my card base. I then attached the vintage photo piece and using foam tape I attached the Corgis rectangle piece.
I stamped the sentiment in my mini Misti using VersaFine Clair ink in Pinecone and added a few gumdrops in sparkly pink.
I am happy with the way this card turned out, and I hope you enjoy it as well.
