Welcome to the Scrap'n Stamp Puppy Love Blog Hop.
We are hopping today to celebrate Valentine's Day via our Puppy Love Hop. I certainly enjoyed making my card for the hop and can't wait to see what everyone has done.
We have a $50.00 Gift Certificate to the Scrap'n Stamp Store for our giveaway, so be sure to leave comments on everyone's blog for your chance to win.
Moving on to the card I made for today's hop. This is Stella by Picket Fence Studios. She has been drawn to go with dog sympathy. But I changed her eyes a tad and have her peaking, like all dogs do when you come near them.
I envision her to be in the yard under the shade tree, but peaking to make sure she knows what is happening.
I am using Arches Cold Press 120# watercolour paper to create my scene and I have painted with my personal watercolours. I have included links to Kuretake watercolours as they do have many colours that are close to mine.
I wanted a no line watercolour, so I used Distress Ink in Antique Linen when inking up the stamp. I then proceeded to watercolour using Roman Szmal watercolours. I adore these watercolours and knew the minute I saw Stella that I would be using them.
For the background I made a mixture of Sap Green and Nickel Azo to get the light green. The leaves have a layer of the Nickel Azo, then a layer of the Sap Green over top then Scarlet Red used for the berries.
I attached the watercolour piece to foam tape then adhered to a yellow card base. I then attached the die cut leaves using Nuvo Adhesive.
From black cardstock and yellow cardstock I die cut the sentiment and glued together with a shadow again using the Nuvo Adhesive.
I am pleased at how this turned out and I hope you enjoy it as well. Thank you for your visit.
Up next on the hop is Nancy. Following is the complete list. followed by Affiliate links for the products I used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
