Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers today has me doing a small painting instead of a card. It was fun for a change, and I do like how it turned out.
I used Daniel Smith and a lone Winsor Newton colour to watercolour this scene on Arches Cold Press watercolour paper.
I will be framing this for the wall beside my desk in my scrap space. There is another painting there done by a friend of mine with these colours in it, so it will look nice there.
For my black I mixed my watercolours to make the colour, but you can buy black watercolour now, and I have linked to the Lunar Black below, as this is the colour I tend to make. You can mix your own by using the three primary colours, yellow, red and blue. Depending on your paints, each manufacturer will give a different result. i.e. with Daniel Smith, there is a green added in to the mix.
I also added Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleedproof White splatters to finish painting.
Thank you for having a look.
