For my first card I am showing Hydrangea Gift (L20927). Using Hammermill card I stamped with Memento Ink and coloured with Copic markers in light pastel colours. If you look closely you will see additions of pink, hence the pink card base. I added Nuvo Crystal Drops to finish along with the strip with the sentiment.
This is the new slimline Magnolia, which is so beautiful that I had to watercolour using some different colours from my palette. I started out with a no line watercolour using Antique Linen Distress ink to stamp.
The main colours I used from Daniel Smith Watercolours are Quinacridone Pink and Amazonite Genuine, both such beautiful colours along with Cadmium Yellow in the flower centres. The background is Manganese Blue Hue. On the leaves I have Geolite Ochre, Diopside Genuine and Indian Red, finished with Midas Touch Shimmering Pen. The stems are Burnt Umber and Geolite Ochre. I then painted over the lines of the stamp using Buff Titanium, but I did not show the lines as I wanted, so over again I went with Geolite Ochre, which showed the detail so nicely.
I went around the edges of the watercolour card using my Gold EK Success Pen then added a layer of the Midas Touch.
I hope you have enjoyed these cards for today. Check back tomorrow when I share more cards I have done for the April release.
Next up on the hop is Laura Fulcher.
