Sometimes we get so busy with newly released stamps that we forget about our old favourites. The Impression Obsession team has set aside today to share some new projects using some great older stamps and in my case, coordinating dies too. You can find the list of today's participants on the Impression Obsession Blog.
This leaf stamp and die are one of my all time favourites from Impression Obsession. I usually use it in the fall, but for today I decided to use it for a spring card.
When I was out walking the other morning I spent a lot of time looking at the new leaves on the trees. What a wonderful sight, and you could tell they were new and fresh. So, I decided to make a card about it.
Using Neenah card and in my mini Misti I inked up the stamp using Squeezed Lemonade Oxide ink, spritzed with water and stamped. I repeated this using Twisted Citron Oxide ink. They dried quickly as I did not use a lot of water, so I die cut the two leaves.
On my card base I taped off an area and sponged on Make Art ink in Leaf Green. I then styled the leaves and attached to the card using foam squares.
I then placed my card in my mini Misti and stamped the sentiment using the Leaf Green ink again. I did several passes to get a good impression.
I finished by adding some Nuvo Jewel drops in Limoncello and Key Lime. I admit, I love how this turned out in these happy colours.
Thank you for dropping by. Up next is Laura Fulcher.
