We have set aside today to share some fun themed projects! This month's theme is Rainbow of Colour.
Have fun checking out what our Designers have made today. The participants can be found on the Impression Obsession Blog. If you arrived here from Jeanne Streiff you are in the right place.
I wanted to use the beautiful Anemone for my card today, which is from the April release. I did no line watercolour for the flowers using Make Art ink in Green and Blue, spritzing with water then stamping in my original Misti.
I allowed the colours to dry before water colouring further with my colours, being Prussian Blue for the flowers and Diopside Green with Apatite Genuine for the stems and leaves. For the black flower centre I mixed together Raw Umber and Indathrone Blue
With the Theme being Rainbow of Colour I did my background in pale rainbow colours by painting with full strength colour, the colours of the rainbow starting at the bottom with the Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red and Pink. I then took a piece of paper towel which I crunched up and dabbed on the wet paint.
When the flowers were completely dry I ran them through my Scan'n Cut to fussy cut them, which made that job much easier.
I then added the watercolour panel to the card base using foam tape.
I styled the flowers and added them to the panel using foam squares along with glue to the bottom of the stems.
To finish the card I added a rainbow of Jewel Drops down the card in their respective colour sections.
This was a fun card to make, and I hope you have enjoyed it as well. Next up is Laura Fulcher.
