It is that time to celebrate the day we set aside to celebrate our Theme Days, which this month is "Adventure".
I hope you will enjoy what the team has made to share with you for today.
I kept my card relatively clean and simple. The adventure is about to begin, but ... first things first!
For the background I first water coloured the panel using Mayan Blue Genuine, let dry then added Phthalo Blue Red Shade. Once all was dry I dusted with my powder tool then stamped with the Stars background cling stamp and heat embossed using gold embossing powder.
I die cut the camp fire using water colour paper and painted with reds and yellows, and browns for the wood pile.
Using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne I stamped the sentiment twice on cardstock and cut each piece so I would have space above and under the sentiment, then sponged on Barn Door distress ink. I used the card stock as I did not want the added thickness of the Arches cold press watercolour paper.
To put it all together I added foam tape to the back of the Stars panel and affixed to a gray card base. I then glued on the sentiments, and the wood pile, and styled the fire adhering it using a foam square.
I considered adding a mug, but thought better, this scene looks more adventurous to me.
Thanks so much for coming by today. I hope you have enjoyed today's card. Following are Affiliate links for the products that I used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
My first thought when seeing your pretty card was, you sure start your mornings early if the stars are still in the sky. Now that I am retired that seldom happens for me. LOL
