I am back with you for Watercolour Wednesday. These cards are part of this weeks challenge to paint wheat field scenes.
This was the first card I did. I am sort of happy with it, but wishing I had not done the background wheat as dark as I did. Oh well, each card is a learning process.
I used shades of yellows, yellow ochre, mix of red and yellow and burnt umber.
Once all was dry I splattered the panel with Gouache and allowed it to dry further, then attached to my card base using foam tape, which is Gina K. Design Ivory card.
For my second card I was not fussed on the violet colour as shown in the video so I did not use it. I used Hansa Yellow, Cadmium Red and Cadmium Yellow to make the orange and Apatite Genuine.
For the wheat I used Ivory Black. I also splattered this card with Gouache. Once dry I added foam tape to the watercolour panel and attached to my card base, which is Gina K. Design Ivory card.
Thank you for dropping by today.
