Hello to you. I hope you are enjoying this beautiful Sunday. It is hot and a tad humid in my area so I broke down and put on the air ... not my favourite thing to do!
Today's card was inspired by a card that I saw on Scrapbook.com. Both cards have the rainbow, albeit different and other than that, they are different.
For my card I am using semi-circle dies from Frantic Stamper, from the days when I was on the design team. While Fran does not have Linkdeli, (does not pay commissions) I added her link as I think she is one of the few left who carries a semi-circle die, and its stitched to boot.
You of course, do not need a semi-circle die to make this card. A circle works perfectly, and when cut in half you get two cards!
I die cut my half circles using white cardstock and coloured them with Copic markers in rainbow colours going from the red down. I do have a blue, which I snuck in at the bottom of the top layer - but just one line of colour, which adds that blue green.
Once I was done colouring the "rainbow" I added a layer of glitter shimmer on each. I so wish that it would show in the picture, it is subtle but so pretty when the light catches it.
Using my butterfly string die I cut two butterflies from the string, styled them and attached under the rainbow using Nuvo adhesive. Where there is a rainbow, there will be butterflies!
I then die cut the "wonderful" sentiment x 2, gluing together and affixing at the bottom of the rainbow.
This came together very quickly and I like it a lot! haha
Thank you for joining me today. Following are Affiliate links for the products I used for this card at no extra cost to you.
Also, just a note, there was an update for my blog that I have done, but I am still fine tuning. It is still basically the same, on the home page the heart of my blog and on the second page access to other cards, search engines, links. I should be done in the next few days.
