I fell for this puppy when I was looking at the stamps for this Release and had to have him/her. It is the look on his face that gets me. My little dog Sweet Pea used to give me the same look when it was dinner time and I was taking too long preparing it! And Sweet Pea always wore a bandana.
She was a sweetie to be sure. Now back to my card.
I first did the background using Ken Oliver Color Burst in Orange, which as you can see have hints of red and yellow in it. Using a Copic Marker I coloured the bandana to match the background.
Once the background was dry I attached it to my yellow card base using foam tape. I then fussy cut the puppy and glued him to the background.
In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
To finish up I added some gumdrops. This was such a fun card to make.
Following is the list for those participating in the hop this week.
Following are Affiliate links for the products I have used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
I like your stamped dog....really cute. And the background is very cool. Your REAL doggy is precious. SO cute
ReplyDeleteLove those sunny colours with your sweet pup. Our first dog used to put her paw onto Dave's dad's knee when she wanted her dinner when they looked after her!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute card! Love the adorable pup and fun sentiment!
ReplyDeleteMarisela Delgado said: Super sweet card and cute face! My little boy was a Beagle, who I named Monster, because that's what kind of puppy he was. He was my LOVE. The rare time that I forgot his dinner, he sat at his bowl and would look at me and then his bowl and then me again. ☺☺☺ Of course, chubby, ate very well. He got leftovers like rice or pasta or pancake pieces. I miss him terribly. mariandmonsterd@yahoo.com

ReplyDeleteYou seem to speak of Sweet Pea past tense. If that is the case, sorry for your loss. She certainly was adorable. Your card is so very sweet and the sentiment perfect.
ReplyDeleteGreat card. The dog with bandana stamp is too doggone cute. Sweet Pea was the perfect name for your dog, she had the cutest little face. They do leave paw prints on our hearts.
