We have set aside a day to share some fun themed projects! This month's theme is Red White and Blue!
I hope you will have fun enjoying what the design team has put together for you today. You can find the list of those participating in today's hop on the Impression Obsession Blog.
I decided I wanted to use this adorable puppy for my card, mainly because I could easily add blue to him without it looking silly, by first stamping the image using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne, then cleaning the stamp and stamping again with VersaFine Clair ink in Blue Belle.
I decided on a blue card base, and cut a piece of white card and a piece of designer paper, which I attached to the white card. I then attached the piece to my blue card base. I die cut another circle piece from the red cardstock and attached it to the card front.
I then positioned the puppy circle and attached it to the card using foam squares. For the sentiment I masked off the bottom portion and stamped the top word, which is the "yappy", then did the same to the bottom part of the sentiment. I trimmed the pieces and attached to my card front.
As this is a celebration of the red white and blue, and I am Canadian I added my little touch of Canada via the red and white Maple leaf stamped in the red and die cut, which I attached using a thin foam square.
To finish up I added a scattering of sequins in red and blue along with a white star in the dogs hair as a decoration, on his left ear.
This was super fun to put together, and I hope you enjoy it as well.
