Dancing Water

It is Wednesday, which means it is time for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers. Angela is our hostess this week and she has picked a beautiful "Zen" video that was so fun to do.

I did not get the ochre colour as I would have liked, but I am impressed it did not turn to mud! I am painting on Arches 300 lb. cold press, which is fabulous paper. It is so heavy one does not need to worry about warping.

If I had my way I would paint with it all the time. I love the raw edge on this piece as well, which I think adds to the painting.

There is a bit of movement on the top water, but hardly any on the bottom. Forgot I was doing it! lol

I used Daniel Smith Prussian Blue and Yellow Ochre to paint. The Prussian Blue is such a pretty blue. I have put down only two layers of it on this piece.

I used a Escoda Brush #10 to paint.
The yellow ochre colour is dropped in while the blue is still wet.

I added foam tape to the back of the watercolour card and attached it to a Gina K Design Soft Stone base.

I thank you for having a look today. See you next week for our weekly Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com.
