Lovely Blooms

We have a beautiful morning here in Southern Ontario. The perfect morning to share a floral card with you.

There are many layers to this card, not something I do a lot, but for some reason layering was calling me.
While it does not show in the pictures well, the black layer is embossed via a embossing folder. The next layer has stencil work using grey ink and a pierced rectangle die. Then there is a layer of the lattice work and finally the flower topped with the lovely sentiment.

The flowers from Altenew are stamped using Memento Ink and coloured using Copic markers in unusual colours for me. As I have mentioned previously, I like to start with the deeper colour and move up to the lightest colour, or in this case a slightly different colour.
The colours in order are for the flower, R85, R83 then V12. On the tips as needed I used E40. The leaves in order of use are YG63, YG61 and G24. I added darker shadows in areas using G29. For the flower centres I used YG00.

I cut the flower out using my Scan'n Cut. In the areas where the machine does not cut but glares as you in stark white, I filled in with black Copic 100, or if very tiny like the bottom parts I used my black Micron pen.
For the stenciled panel I die cut using my pierced rectangles along with Tilted Grid stencil and Hickory Smoke distress ink.

To put it all together, on my white card base I angled the embossed black card and attached. I then added the stenciled piece, also on an angle, then attached the flower using foam squares. I die cut two of the Linear dies and cut apart to fit in behind the flower and glued in place.
To finish I die cut the sentiment in black card and added some Midas Touch Shimmering pen, which shows in some of the pictures.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card and wish to thank you for dropping by. Following are Affiliate links for the products I used for this card today, at no extra cost to you.
