Stay Cool

Hello crafters!

A sweet card to share with you today with a stamp made by Art Impressions in collaboration with Sizzix. When I shop in the States I always shop at Scrapbook.com

There are a couple of reasons for that, the first is most important to me, my item is tracked to my door, not just the border of USA and Canada. Second, that cost is very reasonable. They give excellent service too. and another reason produced this card, they send you free gifts. And who doesn't like free?

In the past I had not given Art Impressions much attention. I have now, and that came about because I received this stamp. If they do something this cute, well geez what am I missing?

For this card I started by dry embossing my pierced rectangle die on my card front. I then stenciled using the Scribbled Lines stencil and distress oxide Salty Ocean.

In my mini Misti I stamped the image using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. Using my Daniel Smith watercolours I proceeded to watercolour the image. Once finished and dry I fussy cut the image out.

I then die cut the semi-circle Pinkfresh die and sponged on the Salty Ocean distress oxide ink. To attach this fine die to my card I used glossy accents. You may be able to see the shadow the die is creating. It is not attached directly to the card, it sits on glossy accents that I allowed to semi set before adding the die. This keeps the die off the card base.

I added splatters using watercolour and gouache covering the area where the image would be. It doesn't show in the picture, but does in the real, and that is the added shimmer that I splattered too.

I then attached the image using foam squares and die cut the celebrate die using the same card as my base, and sponged on some of the salty ocean. I die cut the shadow die using white vellum, attaching the word die using lawn fawn glue tube and affixing to the base with foam strips.

To finish up I added a few crystal clear fusion sequins from Studio Katia.

I dare say I think it is such a cute card that started with the freebie. I have linked to the Art Impression items that Scrapbook.com have in stock. Maybe something will tickle you too.
